NORRIS F. FANNING,
91, of Debary, passed away on Thursday, November 5,
2015.
He was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a graduate of
Poly Tech High School and attended Loyola College.
Norris was an aerospace engineer who worked for Martin
Marietta for over 40 years, retiring in 1997. He was a
Navy veteran and member of the Navy Beach Jumpers, the
predecessor to the Navy SEALS. He was a member of the
BPOE Elks and a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in
Debary.
Norris is survived by his wife Alice R. Fanning, sons,
Robert J. Fanning, Michael N. Fanning and James F.
Fanning, daughter, Patricia A. Mace, granddaughters,
Amanda L. Stevens, Chelsea E. Fanning and Natalie A.
Mace, grandsons, Tyler J. Stevens and Ean R. Fanning,
great-grandchildren, Caleb L. Stevens and Rylee Strain.
Norris enjoyed playing the guitar and piano and liked to
paint. He built a plane with his son. He was a family
man who loved spending lots of time with his
grandchildren.
